Keep it fresh!
Nosh With Nash
“It’s not about passion. Passion is something that we tend to overemphasize, that we certainly place too much importance on. Passion ebbs and flows. To me, it’s about desire. If you have constant, unwavering desire to be a cook, then you’ll be a great cook.” – Thomas Keller, The French Laundry.
Great cooking is about being inspired by the simple things around you. Visit fresh markets, get creative with spices. It doesn’t necessarily have to look fancy, but it does help if it looks fresh and appealing! Remember, we eat first with our eyes long so let’s cook with the freshest ingredients!

Our Story
As I get older, my adventure with food will continue to be wilder and more satisfying! I mean, who does not love a pretty plate of food? As much as the taste of food matters, the look of it matters a lot too. We eat first with our eyes! So take it in, don’t rush it, and then savour each delectable bite.
Yes, I am one of those annoying people who will stop and take a picture of just about everything I eat. Annoying? Yes. My husband is usually half way through his dinner before I get the right shot! But by the time I dig in, I’ve had a chance to explore my food from every angle, appreciating the plating, appreciating the colours, the aromas, the artistry of the plate. When I dig in, it’s with the anticipation of what my eyes and senses have just explored. I’m ready!
As a bonafide self-proclaimed foodie, and after a career in health care, my love for food took me back to school, chef school. With each course I took my appreciation grew for the process of how food is grown, raised, prepared, served, and consumed. My passion is to share what I’ve learned with you and I’m excited to have you join me on my journey.
So, let’s do this… let’s cook together! Let’s bake together! Good food is not hard to make. As Julia Child said, “You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces—just good food from fresh ingredients.”
Along the way we will talk with some amazing chefs, learn some quick tricks, and indulge in great food together.
And seriously, I am always a bit sweeter after I have eaten. #foodislife
